New AC500-eCo Starter Kits

The AC500-eCo Starter kits help you to get familiar with ABB AC500 PLC offerings and the engineering tool within a very short time. Learn how to connect and setup the components provided in the starter kit and how to program the PLC by means of several simple example applications.

All starter kits come with CPU, programming cable, digital input simulator, PS501 Control Builder Plus engineering tool and getting started handbook. The four variants differ from the CPU included – AC or DC power supply input, relay or transistor type output, with or without Ethernet interface.

  • 128 kB program memory, program processing time 0.08 μs/instruction
  • 1 onboard RS485 serial interface (2nd is optional)
  • Centrally expandable with up to 10 I/O modules (standard S500 and/or S500-eCo modules can be mixed)
  • Optional SD card adapter for data storage and program backup
  • Fast counter up to 50 kHz: 2 counters up/down, max. 50 kHz, A/B track 1 counter, single pulse 35 kHz, double pulse 30 kHz, quad pulse 15 kHz
  • Modbus data can be directly stored in the non volatile area of the internal data memory
  • File handling including ZIP and UNZIP functionality
  • FTP server features for Ethernet CPUs

Web server for Ethernet CPUs

  • Create your own visualization for up to three clients (with web browser) which can be connected to the CPU.
  • Suitable for your demands, the visualization can be programmed within CoDeSys (Web Visualization).
  • 512 kBytes of memory are available in the CPU for storage of the web pages.
